Lawn Care

Mowing, edging, fertilization, and aeration. The basics, done on a schedule.

Lawn care is the simplest part of what we do, but it's the part most companies do worst. Wrong cut height, dull blades, edging into tree roots, fertilizer applied at the wrong time of year. None of that is hard to avoid; it just requires paying attention.

Standard visit

  • Mow at the correct height for the grass type (most tall fescue should be cut at 2.5–3 inches in San Diego — never lower)
  • Edge cleanly along hardscape, no string-trimming into trunks
  • Blow off pavers, walks, driveway
  • Visual irrigation check on every visit

Seasonal extras

  • Spring: aeration + slow-release fertilization
  • Summer: irrigation tune, deep watering schedule
  • Fall: overseed for cool-season blends, second fertilization
  • Winter: aerate, thatch if needed, dormant prune nearby trees

Common Questions

Lawn Care — FAQ

How often should the lawn be cut?

In growing season, weekly. In winter slow-down, every other week. We adjust each visit to growth, not the calendar.
